At the DICE group, we are at the forefront of AI research, with a mission to democratize access to advanced language models. We believe in empowering communities around the world by creating open-source solutions that can bridge the digital divide. While we have been working on research and development of multilingual systems for years, our recent project, LOLA (An Open-Source Massively Multilingual Large Language Model), represents a significant milestone in this journey. Trained on over 150 languages with a highly compute-efficient architecture, LOLA sets a new standard for multilingual language modeling. Building on this success, we plan to expand LOLA's capabilities to support more than 500 languages and continue exploring advanced architectures in our future models.
As part of our project, you’ll contribute to the entire lifecycle of developing a large language model designed to support over 500 languages, from initial design and data collection to training, evaluation, and deployment. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge technology, gain hands-on experience, and collaborate with our experts in the field.
